Thomas Herring

 

Thomas is a co-founder of Herring & Root. Before forming Herring & Root, Thomas was an attorney at a union-side law firm in St. Louis where he represented labor unions and their members in arbitrations, court proceedings, and administrative hearings in front of the National Labor Relations Board. Thomas also has experience representing employees in employment discrimination matters throughout the administrative process to various stages of litigation.

Thomas is a graduate of St. Louis University School of Law, where he was a Staff Editor for the ABA Journal of Labor & Employment Law and received the SLU LAW Pro Bono Legal Service Award his final year of law school. Thomas received his law degree with an employment law concentration in 2019.

Brady Root

 

Prior to forming Herring & Root, Brady worked for a mid-sized union-side law firm in St. Louis, focusing on traditional labor law, employee benefits (ERISA) work, and individual employment discrimination cases. Brady clerked at another union-side law firm in St. Louis before that as a Peggy Browning Fellow.

Brady is a graduate of Saint Louis University School of Law. At SLU Law, where he served as an Articles Editor for the ABA Journal of Labor and Employment Law and worked in the Human Rights at Home Litigation Clinic. Before law school, Brady was a Teamster Local 117 member, then worked in the tech industry for several years.
